Pueblo Kiwanis Club Foundation

Our Foundation was created to raise, manage, and distribute funds to support porgrams that will impact and improve the lives of children in our community, our state, in our country and in the world.

About our Foundation

The Kiwanis Club of Pueblo celebrated its 100th anniversary on October 4, 2020.  The goal was to raise $100,000 in funding to assist in all we do with our Foundation.  So, you know how 2020 went....BUT we were still able to celebrate the day!  We started with a service project (of course) at the local homeless shelter (Posada) for families with children.
Following the project we gathered for the eventing to celebrate this 100 year milestone with former members, other clubs from the Rocky Mountain District and leadership from Kiwanis International.  It was a wonderful evening.
The money we were able to raise in our anniversary year (over $50,000) will allow us to continue our missions in the community and add even more service work and support!

Currently we have our signature Orthodontia Project our Foundation created over 50 years ago,  providing funding assistance to children in dire need of orthodontic work.  We work with area Orthodontists who bring us cases of high level need.  Those families are then interviewed and the work begins, to transform the teeth, bite, and most of all the quality of life for the patient.  Our orthodontial project averages about $4000 per child per treatment.  We have assisted in nearly $500,000 worth of care over the years.

The Pueblo Kiwanis Club Foundation also sponsors a four year renewable scholarship program for students attending Colorado State University Pueblo or Pueblo Community College.  Students who apply must have been active in their high school Key Club, and is coordinated by their high school counselor.  To apply for either of these scholarships, please email our foundation president and request the form:  president@pueblokiwanisfoundation.org
